SERDANG, August 10 - The Malaysian Research Institute on Ageing (MyAgeing™) played host to a delegation of 30 participants from the 21st Biennial International Congress of the Asian Regional Association for Home Economics (ARAHE) 2023. The visit was warmly received by the management team of MyAgeing™.
The visiting participants were from Japan, Korea, Germany, China, and the Philippines. An informative session on the services and functions provided by MyAgeing™ was delivered by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hayati Kadir@Sahar, the Head of the Medical Gerontology and Gerontechnology Laboratory. Additionally, the participants were provided with the opportunity to visit and explore facilities and services at MyAgeing™ laboratories.
Since 1983, the Asian Regional Association for Home Economics (ARAHE) has been convening international congresses in Japan. ARAHE serves as a dynamic platform for fostering networks and collaborations, sharing experiences and research findings, engaging in dialogues, and exchanging ideas pertaining to the latest trends and issues within the field of Home Economics, all from an Asian perspective. This congress continues to captivate the interest of diverse professionals within the Home Economics domain, as they collectively strive to enhance the well-being of individuals, families, and communities by supporting educational initiatives in schools, communities, and vocational training programs.
