SERDANG, January 16 - The Malaysian Research Institute on Ageing (MyAgeing™) hosted a delegation of four members from Norxin International Science and Technology Cooperation Base in Xi'an City, China. The delegation was accompanied by representatives from Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Hospital (HSAAS), UPM. The purpose of their visit was to gain a comprehensive understanding of MyAgeing™'s role as a research entity dedicated to the study of elderly and ageing in Malaysia.
During the visit, the delegation received a briefing on MyAgeing™'s role in enhancing the quality of life for the elderly, presented by the Deputy Director of MyAgeing™, Associate Professor Dr. Ling King Hwa. The briefing was attended by the Head of Laboratories and the Head of the Medical Gerontology and Gerontechnology Program, as well as staff members from MyAgeing™.
Norxin International Science and Technology Cooperation Base also shared information about their organization. Following the briefing session, both parties engaged in discussions regarding potential collaborations in research, innovation, and student initiatives.
To conclude the visit, the representatives from Norxin International Science and Technology Cooperation Base had the opportunity to explore the facilities and equipment available at MyAgeing™. This opportunity offered them a deeper insight into the services offered by MyAgeing™.
